A Connecticut Yankee is a 1927 musical comedy based on the novel A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court by American humorist Mark Twain. The music was written by Richard Rodgers, the lyrics by Lorenz Hart, the book by Herbert Fields, and the dances by Busby Berkeley. It was produced by Lew Fields and Lyle D. Andrews and opened at the Vanderbilt Theatre on November 3, 1927.A Connecticut Yankee was adapted into a film in 1931 starring Will Rogers.
