Chronicles is a piece that is designed for the youngest of string students. It contains only the first 6 notes of the D scale (D through B) and the most difficult rhythms are quarter notes. I set out to write an upbeat fanfare-type piece that is similar to contest/festival pieces students will encounter later on in their time in orchestra.
