A collection of chorale preludes based on four familiar hymn tunes. The first is in the style of J.S. Bach and is based on "Miles Lane." The second, for manuals only, uses Handel's melody "Maccabeus." Number 3, based on "Picardy" is marked "tempo di tango." The final chorale is a bright setting of "Nun Danket." All four were conceived on a single manual instrument, and this makes them more simple to play than they appear. An H.W. Gray Publication.
