James Taylor Sheet Music

James Taylor
Five-time Grammy Award winning guitarist James Taylor originally learned to play the cello growing up. He later picked up the guitar in 1960, pulling technique from his training with the cello and combining it with the style of hymns, carols, and Woody Guthrie. He explained: "My style was a finger-picking style that was meant to be like a piano, as if my thumb were my left hand, and my first, second, and third fingers were my right hand." He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000, after releasing one of his most successful albums, “Hourglass,” in 1997.
