The Carpenters Sheet Music

The Carpenters
While they actually signed under the record label simply as “Carpenters,” siblings Richard and Karen Carpenter are generally referred to as “The Carpenters.” Breaking away from the more popular rock and roll styles, which were harder and louder, they maintained a softer sound that made the Top 40, and they became best sellers in soft rock, easy listening, and adult contemporary genres. Over a span of 14 years, they recorded 11 albums, 31 singles, 5 TV specials, and they even starred in their own TV series “Make Your Own Kind of Music.” Their music career tragically ended after Karen’s death from cardiac arrest due to complications related to anorexia nervosa. Though her death was tragic, it contributed to a significant spread of awareness about eating disorders.
